seems like the only fights im getting is 1v1. scanning belts is getting me nowhere fast
If you want to be ganking newbies then stop using tech2 ships, it's like holy water to a vampire. Newbies hit that scanner and go "OH NOES, HE HAS THE TECH TOOOES" and they won't go near you, now if you were in something innocuous like say a Incursus or Thorax then they may have fancied their chances.
Like so many have said before me in threads just like this one, Solo Piracy isn't dead, Piracy isn't dead, you just have to be a lot smarter. Nothing in life is easy.
Now either you adapt, or get the **** out of lowsec you noob
Quoting this for truth. Also being in a faction ship will increase your number of kills by a hundredfold.
Before i lost my fleet stabber (jump into lagged highsec ftw) i would roam about with it in black rise. It aligned fast enough not to be caught by the random FW blob camping a gate, it looked juicy enough on scanner to attract a bunch of people.
One day i roamed placid and warped to a planet that had a brutix on scan. Sure enough he was there but 100km off. I burn towards him, set orbit to 15km and proceed to open fire while he stays there waiting for me to tackle him. Would've probably killed him alone thanks to shit blaster range, but alas my gang came in anyway...
10 seconds after the brutix dies a dominix warps in at 0. Same story, we're 100km away but he just waits there to get tackled.
A tempest shows up on scan while the dominix is dying. Sure enough a minute or 2 after domi goes down the tempest warps in on top of us.
We had a gang of about 10, including i think 2 blackbirds. Both dominix and tempest had to have scanned us down to the planet, why else would they bother warping there...
My suspicion is this was all due to the faction juiciness in the gang. That and people underestimate t1 cruisers, which most of our gang was composed of.
So remember kids, always fly faction ships. It makes the game a whole lot more fun and exciting. ---
